Low-carbon secondary aggregates.
Sustainably produced. Sustainably delivered.
Through our subsidiary businesses in Cornwall and London we are proud to introduce ENVIROC® a low-carbon, high-performance alternative to newly-quarried construction aggregate initially available across the South of England.

ENVIROC® is made from granite arising as an unwanted by-product of china clay mining. It’s a material that’s already widely regarded as one of the UK’s most sustainable aggregates in the main environmental assessment methods for construction.
As part of our drive towards sustainable development we have gone beyond by making every aspect of the supply chain – from sourcing and transport to processing and delivery – as sustainable as possible.
Using an otherwise waste material, and transporting it efficiently, means that ENVIROC® ranks as one of the lowest carbon products of its kind. An independent study shows that ENVIROC® can have up to 47% lower embodied carbon compared to the equivalent land-sourced primary aggregates.
Secondary aggregate with first class credentials
With investment in a state-of-the-art aggregates processing and washing plant at Tilbury Docks and a 20-year supply agreement in place, we produce and market a range of certified single-sized secondary granite aggregates for onward distribution by road, rail or river. With access to over 1 million tonnes of secondary aggregates a year, no job is too big.
The use of secondary aggregate from the china clay industry in London is not new, having been used in flagship schemes such as the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. But GRS is the only team to have invested in the right processing facilities and supply chain to ensure the product is available on the open market in London and the South East at the right quality and the right volumes to meet demand.
ENVIROC® is arguably the UK’s most sustainable aggregate.
