GRS has been named as Environmental Sustainability Supply Chain Partner of the Year in the annual supplier awards hosted by international infrastructure company Murphy. With stiff competition from other entrants and an in-depth judging process, GRS received the award at an event in London in November, in recognition of the team’s efforts to source the most sustainable materials and deliver them to key Murphy infrastructure projects in the most efficient way possible.
Recovering and reprocessing materials from recycled and secondary sources - such as Enviroc® aggregate from china clay waste - then using end-to-end freight solutions to minimise material handling and empty miles, is core to our business model.
For the foreseeable future there will still be a need for primary aggregates, but we are determined to be a driving force behind a circular economy in construction where nothing is wasted, and all available materials are used to develop our #builtenvironment or restore our #naturalenvironment.
